The first specialized exhibition “Veterinary and fodder”

The first specialized exhibition “Veterinary and fodder” will take place on October, 10-14 2003 in Moscow in pavilions № 20, 58 of the All-Russian exhibition center as part of the Russian Agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn ”.

In Russia of today there is a favorable situation with the infectious deceases of the animals. In our country there have never been any cases of fungous encephalopathy of cattle (“cow rabies”), similar to those, that happened in the United Kingdom and Canada. For now, Russia is protected against “chicken grippe” too, which caused serious problems in a number of European countries. This has become possible due to timely preventive measures and professional work of Russian veterinary services.

Russian businesses are implementing advanced technologies of fodder stocking more and more often. Thus, in Azovsky area of Rostovskiy region a new Swedish technology of hay package has been implemented. Now hay is being kept in polyethylene wrapping. In this package the fodder doesn’t lose its nutritive qualities in three years. The experience of Middle-Ural poultry plant is also interesting, since it grew grain of the best quality especially for feeding chickens.
However, in the country as a whole the insufficient fodder base continues to remain the main problem of Russian animal-breeding, which requires an urgent solution. In the current year the growth of cattle meat production has been reached by decreasing the livestock, which, to a considerable degree, came as a result of unsatisfactory condition of the fodder base, in particular, the level of availability of rough and juicy fodder. At the coming exhibition the attention will mostly be given to the contemporary methods of work of veterinary services, technologies of feeding and the latest elaborations in the sphere of fodder and fodder supplements production.

The specialized exhibition “Veterinary and fodder” grew out of the former specialized section of the Russian agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn”. Judging by the results of previous years’ work of this section, it is safe to say that it has become the biggest presentational, business and commercial area, facilitation the solution of the main problems of the animal-breeding industry. In 2002 participation in “Golden Autumn” brought tangible commercial results to more than 30 famous Russian and foreign companies, offering raw materials, supplements, ferments and veterinary medications in various combinations. All of their produce found its consumers. Presented at the exhibition modern equipment for mixed fodder industry – mini-factories for production of mixed fodder, crushers, mixers, hydrometers for grain and seeds, thermo-bars and other equipment – was in great demand of the business visitors.

Last year in the course of the section program an important event of the national scale took place – with support of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, on the initiative from the leading companies, producing veterinary medications and fodder supplements, there appeared “Rosvetkormsoyuz”. Contemporary business required extraordinary solutions, often collegial, as well as new partners, unification of effort and joint protection of interests.

“Rosvetkormsoyuz” will coordinate the activities in the sphere of production and realization of veterinary medication and supplements, work out of the unified price policy, support of the raise competitive ability of the produce and development of the market of services for unproductive animals.
