Technical equipment of agriculture is one of the main problems of today. In the recent 2 years economics of many agricultural enterprises has become better, therefore the market of agricultural equipment is waking up too. Input of investors into restoration and development of economics of agricultural enterprises has facilitated increase of production of certain kinds of machinery, that is, first of all, combine harvesters.

“Agrotech” is not only presentation of the latest models of Russian and foreign producers, but also an idea sales place for signing beneficial treaties for buying modern and effectively functioning agricultural machinery. The exhibition has grown out of the former specialized section of the Russian agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn”. According to the results of the past two years over 70% of items of agricultural machinery presented in the section were sold right at the exhibition, where a lot of strategic questions are being solved, investment policy clarified, important business contracts signed. So, at last year’s exhibition “Sibmachholding” signed a contract on creating a harvester-producing plant with “Orlovskaya Industrial Company” on the basis of the local plant of road machinery construction. In the future Orlovsky plant will become an independent enterprise and “Sibmachholding” will leave the list of its founders.

In the report on “Golden Autumn 2002” newspaper “Izvestiya” wrote: “The tractor plant of Peterburg presented a new model – its “Kirovets” (K-744P – the biggest Russian agricultural tractor). It was, perhaps, the most important part of the “machinery construction” part of the exhibition. The excitement is understandable – one of such tractors will cost two times cheaper than those of the “foreign competitors” – CASE or Caterpillar…

Hopes of the agro-machinery producers for the growth of interest to their produce from the countryside farms and agro-companies will probably be justified. As representatives of big agro-holdings remark, Russian machinery in the recent time has proved itself to be good – “There are few breakdowns and the problem of repairs, even if it exists, is solved very quickly”.
The leader of Russian combine-building “Rostselmach” was awarded the highest prizes last year – gold and silver medals for the presented at the exhibition models of combine harvesters – “Don-091” and “Don-141”.

We should mention that Russian agro-machinery is in demand abroad, too. Harvesters “Don” of different modifications are successfully working in the fields of Canada, the USA, Australia, Kazakstan, China, Hungary, Bulgaria and other countries. In 2001 “Peterburg Tractor Plant” produced trial samples of K-745 (420 h.p.), meant for the western market. The official representative of the plant in Germany – firm Land und KFZ Technik is forming a packet of claims for delivery of these machines to the German market.

In 2003 together with Russian companies foreign producers of agricultural machinery and equipment will take active part in the exhibition. In the course of the exhibition presentations of the biggest Russian and foreign producers of agricultural machinery will take place, such as “Sibmachholding”, “Rostselmach”, “Klaas” and others.

One of the main lines of the exhibition of 2003 will be the topic of agro-leasing. As part of the exhibition the Day of agricultural leasing will take place, which will be devoted to the discussion of problems of carrying out of the state policy for support of agricultural producers. In the current year industrial union “New Concord” will take part in the national leasing program. It has planned to deliver on credit of more than 400 million roubles combines to the state company PC “Rosagroleasing”.

In 2003 the leading enterprises and organizations of the industry will take part in the exhibition, among which are:

Corporation “AGRO-UNION”, PC “Vladimir Tractor Plant”, PC “Volgograd Tractor Plant”, CC “Eurotechnica”, PC “Kirovets Landtechnic”, PC “Peasant’s House”, PO “Minsk Tractor Plant”, “NATI”, PC “OKB Suhogo”, PC “Rosagrosnab”, PC “Postselmach”, PC “Sibmachholding”, CC” TZTM “Titran”, PC “Harvest”, PC “Zeppelin Russland”, Erntetechnik Franz Becker, Franz Kleine, Ziegler Maschin Bowe, «Sebeko-Matriх», «Klaas», «Holmer – Rus’», «John-Dir».
