S.A. Dankvert, the first deputy of Minister of Agriculture of the Russian FederationExhibitions are a separate sector of economy. That is why a Committee is created to handle the development of exhibition-fair activity in Agricultural Complex , which is besides authorized to solve organization problems, such as exhibitions and fairs held by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. In all developed countries the government finances participation in an exhibition activity. And it usually covers 100% of the expenses. The matter is the same with the Russian participants. If an enterprise of this or that region wants to take part in an exhibition, then the subsidy may reach 50-100%. These may include transport and other expenses. Choosing an exhibition, take care the latter appears in the list of exhibitions. Since there are companies, that arrange exhibitions not indicated in the scheme, then the efficiency of participation in the event of this kind can be very doubtful. An exhibition industry is being created gradually in our country like in many developed countries of the world. Today exhibitions and fairs strengthen the market flexibility, create the necessary information field, surely, bring about finance into the budgets of all levels. They are bridges among producers and customers on the market field. This is confirmed by the fact that more wholesale enterprises appear in our country during the last years. According to the last information, more than 2000 exhibitions and fairs on various subjects are arranged in our country annually. More than 800 are devoted to Agricultural Complex . We think, this process has positive, as well as negative sides. The revival of economics is definitely a positive outcome. It results in the increasing necessity for producers to sell their goods, in the experience exchange, development and practical appliance of new technologies, machines and equipment, in the long-term trade and economic connections. The negative side of the matter also deserves attention. There are still many worthy enterprises, including some new ones, that produce goods of high quality, but do not take part in exhibitions and are unknown to the masses. They are difficult to get involved in events on a large scale, though such an attitude affects badly the economics of the company, as well as the economics of the country in general. The other disadvantage is that so many exhibition campaigns take place simultaneously, thus making enterprises decide in favour of one and miss all the rest. I’d like to mention that Russian Agro Industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn” is viewed upon as the main exhibition project of the Ministry of Agriculture, it is carried out according to the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation and its date coincides with the celebration of Day of agricultural workers and manufacturing industry. Since 2002 Moscow Government has taken an active part in the organization of the exhibition. Within the last 3 years the exposition territory of the exhibition has increased by 3. In the context of the exhibition a lot of agricultural fairs take place on the territory of All-Russian Exhibition Center and in all Moscow districts. The exhibition reflects not only the development of the whole agro industrial complex, but also the policy of the Russian Federation. That is why we always observe high standards of its realization. |
