The 4-th Moscow International Specialized Exhibition for cleaning agents, equipment and services EXPOCLEAN'2002 took place in October, 22-25 in Moscow

Participants. EXPOCLEAN'2002 gathered 77 companies both manufactures and traders. Goods of 18 countries of the world were presented at the Exhibition. Manufactures from Germany, Italy, Egypt, Netherlands, Norway, Belarus, Turkey and France participated directly. Great Britain, USA, Cyprus, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Moldova were presented by Russian dealers and distributors.

Such world known trade marks as NUMATIC, CHEMSPEC, UNGER, ASTONISH (Great Britain), KARCHER, KIEHL, DOMAL, VERMOP, WITTOL, MEIKO, GANSOW, PUDOL, VON SCHRADER, OERTZEN, ILLE (Germany), NILFISK-ADVANCE (Denmark), FIRBIMATIC, FIMAP, TTS, DUPLEX, PORTOTECNICA, SOTECO, SANTOEMMA, KLINDEX, BIAR (Italy), LARMA (Poland), ELNA (Switzerland), ETC, ESSENTIAL, KIMBERLY-CLARK (USA), NORWEX (Norway), SPONTEX (France), TORK (Netherlands) and others were presented at EXPOCLEAN'2002.

Russian manufacturers offered a good variety of cleaning equipment and implements, sanitary devices and accessories, detergents and chemicals. Among the participants of the Exhibition there were the leading companies of Russian cleaning industry market: RADNIK HOLDING, METRO-SORMA-SERVICE, SIR COMPANY, MULTISERVICE, ARRIAN, CLEAN MASTER, PARFUM-LIGHT, CLEAN-PROSPECT, MERIDA PLUS, PRIMEX, MPTK ESTIVAL, SCA HYGIENE PRODUCTS, UNION SALE, TRAINING & RESOURCE BUREAU, RUSSIAN CLEANING COMPANIES ASSOCIATION and others.

Seminars. Two Seminars: "Cleaning in Russia: the Present and the Future" (state and perspectives) and "Cleaning Industry: Moscow, Russia and CIS" were carried out within the framework of the Exhibition. The Department of Consumer Market and Services of Moscow Government, Central Scientific Research Institute of Household Service, Russian Cleaning Companies Association took active part in that two-day Seminar. The famous International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) was also represented there. Among the speakers there were the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Center of The Corporate Enterprises, members of ISSA, Russian cleaning industry manufacturing and trading companies. For the first time the problems of risk's assurance for cleaning companies and of professional training for cleaning companies personnel were discussed. The Seminar gathered about 75 participants from Moscow and 15 Russian cities, as well as Italy, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Estonia and Belarus.

Contest. Within the framework of the Exhibition "ExpoClean'2002" for the first time the contest "Best Cleaner" was held. Eight cleaning companies contended for the first place in three nominations: the cleaning of glass surfaces, of carpet coverings and office tables. Both the participants and visitors showed the great interest in that event. According to the opinions the contest "Best Cleaner" will become the constant event of Expoclean Exhibition in Moscow and will facilitate the advancement and popularization of cleaning services and technologies in Russian market.

Visitors. Our information bureau registered 3170 professional visitors from 16 countries of the world and 20 regions of Russia. 49% of the professional attendees came from the largest Russian cities including Ekaterinburg, Voronezh, Samara, Nizhniy Novgorod, Tolyatti, St.-Petersburg, Omsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Kishinev, Kazan, Krasnodar, Yaroslavl, Saratov, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk. 42% of the trade visitors came from Moscow and Moscow Region, 4% were registered from CIS (Belarus, Baltic countries, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan) and foreign countries (Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Austria, USA, Norway, Netherlands, Turkey, Egypt, Poland).

EXPOCLEAN'2002 arouse keen interest among the workers of Ministries and official establishments of Russian Federation including Moscow Government and representatives of regional administrations, consultants of foreign companies operating in the field of cleaning industry. Chief of Department of Consumer Market and Services of Moscow Government Mr. V. I. Malyshkov, Members of International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) took part in the opening ceremony of the Exhibition.

Mass media. The Exhibition met a keen response in mass media. The work of the Exhibition found reflection in news programs on the central Russian TV-Center, NTV, RTR-regions. The leading Russian radio channels (Radio 7 and Russian Radio) put reports and interviews on the work of the Exhibition. Articles about work of the Exhibition were published on the pages of the specialized magazines: "European Cleaning Journal", "European Cleaning, Central and Eastern Europe", "Cleaning Horizon", "Cleaning Industry", "Dry Cleaning & Laundry Magazine".

Exponents opinion poll. Exponents opinion poll carried out within the framework of the Exhibition confirmed once again their high evaluation of the Project. Results of the poll confirmed the high appreciation of the event and a real necessity of organising it annually. 81% of the participants are satisfied with the results of EXPOCLEAN'2002 in general, for 19% it was early to define their position yet. 87% of the participants intend to take part in future Event, 13% has not defined their position yet. 85% of the exponents succeeded in establishing business links with new partners.

EXPOCLEAN'2003
The 5th Moscow International Specialized Exhibition ExpoClean'2003 will be held in September 9-12, 2003 on the grounds of Olimpiysky Complex.
